Colorado streamlining licensure process for mortgage-loan originators

DENVER — The Colorado Board of Mortgage Loan Originators on Tuesday adopted new examination requirements, streamlining the process to become a licensed mortgage-loan originator in the state.
In the past, applicants have been required to pass a two-part examination, the first part a national test and the second a state-specific test.
Beginning March 1, applicants will be required to take and pass one test that combines national and state requirements.
