CDOT selects Neenan to design, build campus in Pueblo

FORT COLLINS — The Neenan Co., a construction firm based in Fort Collins, has been selected as the design-build partner for the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Region 2 office and maintenance campus.

CDOT Region 2 plans to build a campus in the Pueblo area for its office, maintenance and traffic facilities that serve southeast Colorado. The Neenan Co. was awarded the project through a competitive selection process. Terms of the contract were not available Wednesday.

The Neenan Co. recently designed and built CDOT’s Region 4 headquarters in Greeley, its first build-to-suit office building in more than 30 years, as well as a new maintenance facility, which were both completed in 2015.

Design for the campus in Pueblo has started, and sites for the project are being analyzed. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2016, with an anticipated completion in 2017. The administration building will be built to LEED-certified standards, according to Neenan.
