Desi Chausheva was promoted to tax manager and Ryan Sanger became a tax director in the Greeley office of Denver-based accounting firm Anton Collins Mitchell LLP. Mark Lumsden was promoted to tax director in the Boulder office. Chausheva joined the firm in December after having worked nearly a year and a half at Kennedy and Coe LLC. Sanger, a member of the Northern Colorado Business Report’s 40 Under Forty class of 2013, joined ACM in September 2014 after nearly eight years at EKS&H and five at Soukup, Bush & Associates. Lumsden joined ACM in August 2012, and previously was a tax manager at Graham and Co. and at CBIZ Inc.

Matt Coe was hired as marketing manager for the Greeley Stampede. The annual event, which will be held June 23 through July 4 next year, draws approximately 250,000 people from the United States and abroad. Cox has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, design and journalism. He managed large marketing campaigns as the marketing and public-relations manager for the Wyoming Business Council, was a graphic designer for F.E. Warren Air Force Base and was a reporter for a weekly community newspaper in Arizona. He has also served as an assistant media lead on the public-relations committee for Cheyenne Frontier Days since 2008.

Brian Dunbar, executive director of Colorado State University’s Institute for the Built Environment, was elected to a three-year term on the national Advisory Council of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Andrew Montgomery was hired as the first president and chief executive of the Loveland-based Northern Colorado Economic Alliance. Montgomery, a 22-year banking veteran, will leave his position as chief executive of BBVA Compass Bank’s northwestern market in Texas by the end of the month.
The Longmont Area Economic Council elected four new board directors to two-year terms that will begin in January: Ted Bendelow, attorney, Bendelow Law Office LLC; Dan Gust, owner, Ace Hardware, Longmont; Joe Troutman Sr., manager of space systems and development, Enersys; and Eric Wallace, co-founder and president, Left Hand Brewing Co. Wendell Pickett, vice president for operations at Frontier Cos., was elected to a second two-year term. LAEC’s new executive committee includes: Chairman — Dave Humenik, president, Vapor Technologies; vice chairman — Andy Welch, president, Sun Construction; Secretary – Stacy Cornay, owner, Communications Concepts Public Relations & Advertising; Treasurer – Allison Closson, senior vice president, AmFirst Bank; Past chairwoman, Sue Mesch, Colorado facilities site manager, Xilinx Inc. Four of the organization’s existing directors will be leaving the board because of term limits. Sarah Stephenson was named chief human resources officer at Broomfield-based CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries Group Inc. She previously served in key HR roles at companies including Caleres (formerly known as Brown Shoe Co.), Hardee’s Food Systems, Inc. and Boston Market.
HEALTH CARE
Elvira M. Iancu, M.D., Tiffany A Toth, D.O. and Greg N. Tjossem, M.D. joined Kaiser Permanente’s Fort Collins medical office. Iancu obtained her medical doctorate from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania, then completed residencies at the general hospital in Arad, Romania, and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she worked in adult and pediatric ambulatory care at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Toth obtained her medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz., and completed a family medicine residency at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. She previously worked at Yuma (Colo.) District Hospital and Clinic. Tjossem obtained his medical doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, then completed a family-practice residency at Southern Illinois University in Belleville. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Tjossem was an urgent-care physician at Poudre Valley Hospital.

Steve Suneson, an attorney at Coan, Payton & Payne LLC, was appointed to the board of directors of the private, nonprofit Calgary, Alberta-based Western Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada. Suneson helps Canadian companies establish a U.S. presence.
MANUFACTURING
Danny Barone, Mike Erwin and Joe Rizzo were hired at Boulder-based Zeal Optics. After 13 years leading the Rockies sales division at Smith Optics, Barone joined Zeal as North American sales director. Erwin, Zeal’s new Rockies account executive, was named Rep of the Year in 2014 for his work with Dragon Alliance. After working as intermountain account executive for Zeal Optics, Rizzo transitioned to the company’s events specialist role.

Jan Rodriguez and Rick Samson joined the Front Range Community College Foundation board of directors. Rodriguez is assistant general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Broomfield-based Ball Corp. Samson, who served eight years on the St. Vrain Valley School District board, is the founder of the Samson Law Firm in Longmont.
Chris J. Johnston filled the newly created executive director position at Bike Fort Collins, which previously was led by an all-volunteer board.

David Johnstone was hired as chief investment officer for the hospitality division of McWhinney Real Estate Services Inc., with offices in Loveland and Denver. Johnstone has more than 35 years in hospitality real estate, including acquisitions, developments, asset management and dispositions. Johnstone previously was managing principal and CIO for Hotels of Miller Global Properties LLC; vice president of development for the Asia/Pacific region for Marriott International/The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co.; and executive vice president of Sage Hospitality.

Simon Rayne was appointed managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Boulder-based Spectralink Corp. Rayne, who will be based in the United Kingdom, recently worked at Microsoft Devices & Services.
