Boulder, Fort Collins companies awarded export grants

Companies from Boulder and Fort Collins were among a group of five awarded export grants from the state of Colorado’s Minority Business Office on Monday.

The new grants are targeted at small and medium-sized businesses that are minority or women-owned to help offset the costs of international business development. Awards of up to $15,000 are made to companies that are new to exporting or are expanding into new export markets.

Fort Collins-based Global Village Power, which provides energy-saving household products and appliances to people in developing countries, was awarded a $6,000 grant by the MBO.
