Advanced Energy’s wind-down of solar-inverter segment generates quarterly loss
FORT COLLINS — Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) on Monday reported a loss of $232.5 million for its second quarter that ended June 30.
The Fort Collins-based company makes power and control products for things such as flat-panel displays. It has been designing and manufacturing solar inverters, until late in the last quarter when the company decided to wind down that segment, accounting for much of the loss.
