Odell Brewing to begin canning beers this fall

Fort Collins-based Odell Brewing Co. is the latest local craft beer power player to announce it will start canning its beers.

The Coloradoan reports that the brewery aims to have cans of 90 Shilling and India Pale Ale on shelves by November, with two more beers slated for a spring release in cans. The company plans to have a new canning line shipped in September.

Longmont-based Oskar Blues — when it was still based in Lyons — was the craft brewery that started the canning craze in 2002. Since then, numerous breweries have followed suit, including New Belgium in Fort Collins and Avery in Boulder.
