Builder, consultant partner to serve distillery industry

LOVELAND — General contractor Evergreen Industrial Ltd. in Loveland and Centennial-based Downslope Consulting have partnered to create an organization that caters to distilleries wanting to build or expand.

The partnership, called Distilling Consultants, will provide a range of services to the distillation industry, ranging from initial project conception to final buildout of production/distillation space.

One-year-old Evergreen, co-owned by Lafe Herrick and Curt Brinker, will provide construction services, and Mitch Abate’s Downslope Consulting will use its knowledge of the distillation process.

Exploring & expressing grief

Support groups and events, as well as creative therapies and professional counseling, are all ways in which Pathways supports individuals dealing with grief and loss.

The two firms will work in tandem to provide services that include sourcing and acquiring equipment; advising on wash/mash preparation; assisting with federal alcohol laws, regulations and applications; evaluating perspective operational locations; assessing build-out costs and timelines; and advising on planning and permitting.

The partnership was initially conceived by Abate during his work as an independent distillery consultant. Abate learned that while many distillery entrepreneurs have a vision for what they want to accomplish with their business, few of them have the resources and experience to execute their plan.
