Thanks for making benefit successful

The staff at United Way of Weld County would like to thank everyone for making its annual Casino Royale auction and dinner on May 16 another successful event.

The event drew about 350 people at the Island Grove Events Center in Greeley and included a silent auction, live auction, dinner and casino games. Proceeds from the auction go directly to United Way of Weld County’s Promises for Children (Weld County’s Early Childhood Council), a community partnership dedicated to improving the well-being of all children in Weld County to promote school readiness and lifelong success.

We could not put on this auction each year without the many volunteers who prepare, set up, work and clean up after the auction.

Ways to thank a caregiver

If you have a caregiver or know someone who has been serving as a primary caregiver, March 3rd is the day to reach out and show them how much they are valued!

Thank you to our event sponsor, Power Services Co., auction chairman Rob Timme, K99’s “Good Morning Guys” Brian Gary and Todd Harding for hosting the event, Kreps Wiedeman Auctioneers for their expertise during the live auction, OtterCares Foundation and Ameriprise Financial for sponsoring the casino games and other sponsors and supporters such as Colorado Premium Foods, Guaranty Bank & Trust, JBS USA, King Soopers, Pepsi, Syntax Spirits, Kenny’s Steak House, Starbucks, Weld County Garage, Boy Scouts Troop 247 and WeldWerks Brewing Co.

It was a wonderful night. Thanks to those who attended and to everyone who helped put on the auction, the children in Weld County will be the beneficiaries.
