Life Time Fitness moving events/media division, 57 jobs to Louisville

LOUISVILLE – Minnesota-based Life Time Fitness Inc. (NYSE: LTM) announced Friday that it is moving its Athletic Events and Media Division – and 57 jobs – to Louisville.

An official for the company said the lease on a location is still being finalized, and declined to confirm the address. She said the new office should be completely open by July.

Life Time, which has its corporate headquarters in Chanhassen, Minn., operates more than 110 fitness centers in the United States and Canada, including four in the Denver area. But the company also runs more than 65 run, bike and triathlon events nation-wide, including the Leadville Race Series in Colorado, the Miami Marathon and the New York City Triathlon.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

Life Time spokeswoman Amy Henderson said the Athletic Events and Media Division move from Minnesota is being made for various reasons, including locating in an area known for its fitness and affinity for the outdoors.

The move will also consolidate in one spot the events and media division with ChronoTrack, a Life Time-owned company that had employees working remotely all over the country. ChronoTrack provides chip timing, photos and other technology services for more than 15,000 endurance races around the nation. That made the technology hub of Boulder County another draw.

“Stationing our offices in a community that embraces fitness as much as we do is a priority,” Kimo Seymour, senior vice president of the division, said in a prepared statement.

Of the 57 jobs coming to Louisville, Henderson said about 25 of those employees will be moving either from Minnesota or other locations. The company is looking for new positions in other divisions of the company for the people not making the move.

The company already has a few employees working remotely in Colorado in anticipation of the move, and several other openings for the Louisville location are posted on the company website. Those include positions in art direction, marketing, sales and social media, with more to be announced in coming weeks.
