WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

The 3,200 square-foot restaurant in Boulder will be at 2900 Baseline Road in the space previously occupied by Drakes Haus Boulder. Prior to Drakes Haus, the space was occupied by Noodles & Co., where Serafin was chief operating officer, a board member and founding investor.

Basil Flats makes its entrees from scratch using many ingredients supplied by local farms including Zwecks, Ollin, Full Circle and Boulder Lamb.

“Our focus is on slow, local growth,” Serafin said in a prepared statement. “After five years, we’ve found a second location that feels right for us and the community. This expansion also allows us to do something we are passionate about — expanding our Boulder Valley farm partnerships and creating more awareness.”
