$14M Great Western Railway project to alleviate traffic in Windsor
GREELEY – The Broe Group is investing $14 million in its Great Western Railway of Colorado, including adding track that will decrease the company’s train traffic in downtown Windsor while increasing train traffic in Greeley.
The Denver-based company will redo 10.2 miles of railroad track between Windsor and Greeley, said Jenni Stanford, the Broe Group’s director of Industrial Development in Northern Colorado. The company will install new top-of-the-line track and 8,700 new railroad ties.
The rail line will serve customers in the oil and gas, building materials and agricultural industries.
