Door to Door Organics to expand to Milwaukee

LOUISVILLE – Less than a month after announcing a $25.5 million Series B funding round, Door to Door Organics Inc. on Wednesday announced plans to expand into the Milwaukee, Wis., market beginning in spring.

Milwaukee marks the first of multiple new markets the Louisville-based natural and organic grocery delivery service expects to roll out in 2015.

Founded in 2005, the company already operates in 11 major markets, including Denver Kansas City, Philadelphia and Chicago. The company covers much of the Front Range in Colorado, from Greeley and Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.

The company has five regional delivery facilities and employs 330 people, about a third of whom are in Colorado at its Louisville headquarters and Lafayette distribution warehouse. Chief executive Chad Arnold told BizWest last month that the company is projecting revenue of about $35 million this year.
