Public comment sought on Fort Collins-Loveland airport plan

LOVELAND — Jason Licon, director of the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport, will present on Thursday a strategic plan to revitalize the airport.

Licon will present the plan and then seek public input at 3:30 p.m., Oct. 16, at the airport terminal, 4825 Earhart Road in Loveland.

The plan has been developed during the past year by regional business leaders, airport stakeholders and staff members from the cities of Loveland and Fort Collins.

The airport hasn’t offered regularly scheduled commercial air service since October 2012 when Allegiant Airlines pulled out, citing the lack of a control tower for its decision to sever ties with the airport.
