NoCo Community Foundation selects chief stewardship officer

The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado selected Annette Geiselman as chief stewardship officer as of Feb. 21.

Geiselman will assume her role March 31 and will help the foundation strengthen its non-profit sector, specifically with a special emphasis on the 46 local non-profit agencies that have established endowment funds with the organization. These endowment funds represent 19 percent of the $80 million in assets managed by the foundation, according to a release.

“After a decade of rapid growth, we find ourselves in a position to do more for our region, to serve more effectively, and to provide an elevated level of leadership,” Community Foundation president Ray Caraway said in a statement. “This newly created position is just one of the ways our board of trustees is positioning the Community Foundation to be a more vital resource to donors and nonprofit organizations in our region.”

Geiselman previously served as the executive director of the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery for 11 years and played a significant role in the campaign that made possible the 47,000 square foot facility located in downtown Fort Collins.

“I am eager to join Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and to support its ever-expanding influence on our region,” Geiselman said in a statement.

The Community Foundation is a non-profit, public foundation working to build permanent endowments for the benefit of charitable causes and organizations in Northern Colorado. It manages more than 350 individual charitable funds and $80 million in assets.
