Red Table Cafe in talks for new home

FORT COLLINS – After announcing in September that it would close its doors forever, Red Table Cafe is negotiating to reopen elsewhere in Old Town Fort Collins, according to a release from the cafe’s ownership.

Red Table Cafe is currently located at 224 Linden St., but a 46 percent increase in rent caused owner Jess Lemieux to decide to close the restaurant after six years.

Fans of the restaurant mounted a “Save the Red Table” campaign on Facebook.

The restaurant plans to close at its current location on Dec. 21, but talks are underway to move the restaurant to another location in downtown Fort Collins, according to the release. Which new space is under consideration is unknown.
