Tour de Fat headed for Fort Collins Aug. 31

FORT COLLINS – Northern Colorado’s largest brewery will host its 14th Tour de Fat bike ride on Aug. 31.

New Belgium’s Tour de Fat will begin at 10 a.m. at Civic Center Park, at the intersection of Howes Street and Laporte Avenue in Fort Collins. Registration for the ride begins at 9 a.m.

The ride is just less than 4.5 miles long, and will bring
riders back to Civic Center Park for music and New Belgium beer. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Overland Mountain Bike Club, the Bike Co-op and Bike Fort Collins.

Riders are encouraged to come in costume and cyclists of
all ages are welcome. The ride is free, but charitable donations are encouraged.

The ride is held in 12 cities annually, including Denver, which will host its own Tour de Fat Sept. 7.
