VanDyne SuperTurbo moves to Loveland

LOVELAND – VanDyne SuperTurbo has relocated its headquarters from Fort Collins to Loveland, Chief Operating Officer Mark Herbst said Thursday.

VanDyne moved its headquarters from Opera Galleria to a 10,830-square-foot building at 3755 Precision Drive in Centerra, Herbst said.

The Woodward Inc. spinoff makes a truck engine management system called the SuperTurbo, which improves fuel economy and reduces soot emissions. VanDyne employs 14 people and plans to hire additional employees.

VanDyne told the Business Report in January 2012 that it planned to move to another location.

In addition to offices at the Opera Galleria, VanDyne had a garage near the Wal-Mart off Magnolia Street, but it has left both spaces. The company, however, will continue to test its technology at CSU’s Engines and Energy Conversion Lab in Fort Collins, Herbst said.

The new Centerra location gives the company double the space for additional assembly and other operations, he said.

Herbst looked at nearly 50 places throughout Northern Colorado during the past two years before finding the Centerra location.

“The building’s very nice,” he said. “We have more and more people who are visiting us… We have additional space that’s allowing us to bring in more test equipment. It has a lot of benefits.”

The new location marks the latest move for the company. In January, VanDyne said Northwater Capital, which has offices in Chicago, increased its investment in the company to a total of $10 million.
