Northern Colorado Builder Attains NAHB Senior Life Directorship
NORTHERN COLORADO BUILDER HONORED WITH SENIOR LIFE DIRECTOR AT NAHB’S 2013 INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS SHOW WASHINGTON, D.C.—The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) presented Steve Spanjer, President of Fort Collins-based Spanjer Homes, the title of Senior Life Director in recognition of twenty consecutive years of service to the building industry professional organization. Spanjer, who attained NAHB Life Director status in 2003, was formally recognized for this most recent achievement in front of peers and colleagues at the International Builders Show Board of Directors meeting in Las Vegas last month. Founded in 1978, Spanjer Homes is a small, custom home builder that has emphasized craftsmanship and long-term relationships throughout its many collaborations with homeowners, designers and trades in Northern Colorado. Spanjer Homes, an NAHB Certified Green Professional builder, was named 2011 Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado, was awarded the Better Business Bureau’s 2010 Torch Award for Business Ethics, and has been recognized by the City of Fort Collins with the Practical Housing for All&Copy; Certification for its accessible line of homes in Sunstone West.
