If money were no object …

The light bill will always need to be paid and the kids will always need new shoes. And it is still quite reasonable to consider doing work we love. So, light a candle, brew some peach ice tea, and journal about the kind of work you would do if money were no object.

Ask yourself the following:
1. When does time fly for me? What tasks am I doing? Where am I doing them?
2. When do I impact people in a positive manner? What specific group of people am I helping?
3. When was the last time I felt joy at work?
4. Who inspires me? Why?
5. When am I most efficient and productive?
6. What games did I play when I was a child?
7. What did I always want to be when I grew up?
8. What would I do if I knew I could not fail?
9. What are my biggest fears?
10. What would it take for me to risk everything in order to follow my dreams?

Happy dreaming and scheming! The next step is taking action. Identify 10 small steps necessary to move you closer to doing work you love.
