Rotten Bananas
I recently heard a story about poachers in Africa placing bananas in cages to attract monkeys. The monkeys reach in and grab hold of the bananas. The poachers carry the monkeys dangling from the cages to their trucks. All the monkeys have to do is let go and they could run free. Instead, they hold on tight. Their ultimate demise comes from being unwilling to let go. Once captured, the animals are sold on the black market.
What are you holding on to in your life that has the potential to be your ultimate demise? What do you need to let go of in order to free yourself? Like little monkeys we often hold on to things for way too long. “It takes courage to let go”>.
