Windsor gears up for possible DDA
WINDSOR – The town of Windsor may soon create its own Downtown Development Authority if a proposal to create such an entity passes at a special municipal election on Jan. 11.
Only voters within the prescribed boundaries of the proposed DDA district – essentially Main Street between Second and Seventh streets and some areas immediately to the north and south of that strip – will be able to cast ballots for or against the DDA.
The district includes about 200 property owners, business owners and tenants, according to the town’s planning office.
