Markley family donates $150,000 to complete vets plaza

FORT COLLINS – The Pat and Gene Markley Fund is providing $150,000 to
help complete the Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado in Fort Collins.

The fund is a donor-advised fund of the Community Foundation of Northern
Colorado set up by Gene Markley, owner of Markley Motors, and his late
wife, Patty, who passed away in 2006.

“We are pleased the Markley family is able to use their fund at the
Community Foundation to honor the veterans of Northern Colorado while
contributing to something that is personally important to their family,”
said Ray Caraway, Community Foundation president, noting Gene Markley’s
World War II service.
