Vestas receives 202 MW order

WINDSOR – Vestas Wind Systems has received a 202 megawatt order from
E.ON Climate and Renewables North America for 112 V100-1.8 megawatt
turbines for a wind energy project in the United States.

The project’s name and specific location have not yet been disclosed.

The contract includes delivery and commissioning, along with a five-year
service and maintenance agreement. Delivery is scheduled for the first
half of 2012 and commissioning is expected in mid-2012.

Once finished, the project will provide enough electricity to power more
than 60,000 homes in one year. Construction and turbine-maintenance
jobs will be created.

Vestas is headquartered in Denmark and has manufacturing operations
located in Windsor. E.ON is a renewable energy company headquartered in
