Vestas sets megawatt records in 2010

RANDERS, Denmark – Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas said it had
record-setting deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2010 totaling 2,557
megawatts worldwide, according to an annual report issued Feb. 9.

Vestas said the year’s total order intake was 8,673 MW with a value of
8.6 billion euros. Measured in MW, the order intake in 2010 rose by 182
percent, the report said.

The annual report also said the outlook for 2011 is for revenue of
around 7 billion euros due to an expected lower demand in the wind power
