Zayo Group expands fiber network

LOUISVILLE – Zayo Group LLC, a telecommunications infrastructure company based in Louisville, will expand its network in Tennessee and Mississippi, the company announced Thursday in a press release.

Zayo will upgrade its fiber network in Memphis, Tennessee, and extend the network into Mississippi. It will add 34 new cell towers and bring the number of on-net buildings in the two states to 493.

Zayo has had a presence in the area since it bought Memphis-based Memphis Networx LLC in 2007.
