Hall of Fame seeks nominations for 2011

LONGMONT – The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for its 2011 Class.

“The mission of the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame is to research, document and recommend for induction into the Hall of Fame, those individuals who have been instrumental, through business related efforts, in providing direction, energy and support to the shaping of Boulder County since its inception,´ said Ed Kanemoto, president of the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame.

“In Boulder County we are fortunate to have many deserving entrepreneurial business leaders who risk talent and resources to make our community a better, more vibrant place to live,” he said. “These individuals should be rewarded for the risk and success of business. Please help us acknowledge and recognize these people by nominating them for induction into the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame.”

The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame was founded in 1994. Since its inception, more than 120 individuals have been recognized and installed in to the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame also has a scholarship program for students who have graduated from a high school in Boulder County who are attending, or plan to attend a business school or to obtain a degree in a business-related field. Through donations from members of the Hall of Fame, sponsors and individual donations, the Hall of Fame has provided thousands of dollars to worthy students over the years. This year the Hall of Fame plans to increase the number of scholarships available to encourage and support future business leaders.

The permanent display of the Hall of Fame resides at the Plaza Hotel (formerly the Radisson Hotel) in Longmont.
