Security ‘hassles’ boost charter jet use

ERIE – Increased airport security’s “hassle factor” is responsible, at least in part, for a 52 percent increase in the demand for charter jet service in November over the same period last year, according to My Fast Jet LLC.

“Business has increased, even though we’re in this economic downturn, because of the security hassles at the airport,´ said Jodee Hurtado-Bennett, co-owner of the Erie-based air-charter brokerage company.
