Stryker, Leprino make Forbes list of wealthiest Americans

FORT COLLINS – Pat Stryker, a Fort Collins-based heiress and
philanthropist, placed No. 308 on the 2010 annual Forbes 400 list of the
wealthiest Americans.

Stryker, 54, has an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion. Her No. 308
ranking this year is down from No. 289 in 2009 and No. 262 in 2008.

Stryker Corp., a medical technology company.

Topping the list of richest Coloradans this year was Philip Anschutz, a
Denver investor who made his fortune through his ownership in Qwest
Communications. Anschutz placed No. 34 on the Forbes list with a net
worth estimated at $7 billion.

Other Coloradans on the list include:

  • Charlie Ergen, owner of Dish Network and Echostar, ranked No. 51 with
    an estimated net worth at $5.2 billion.
  • John Malone, owner of Liberty Media cable company, ranked No. 110 with
    a net worth of $3 billion.
  • James Leprino, owner of Leprino Foods, ranked No. 136 with a net worth
    of $2.6 billion.
  • Gary Magness, heir of cable-TV businessman Bob Magness, ranked No. 332
    with a net worth of $1.2 billion.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates had the top spot on the list with a net
worth of $54 billion.
