Northern Colorado towns earn Governor’s awards

Downtown projects and
organizations in Windsor, Brighton and Brush have earned awards through
Downtown Colorado Governor’s Awards of Excellence program.

Downtown
Colorado Inc., a nonprofit that coordinates the Colorado Main Street
Program, named Windsor’s Town Hall as the winner for the best building
rehabilitation. The $3 million project was primarily to rehab the
building in the wake of the May 22, 2008, tornado, but also brought the
historic building up to current standards for accessibility and
technology, as well as enlarging its capacity.
