Training wheels

I used to have a blog around here titled Noah’s Ark-ive. (I’d link to it, but it’s long gone.) The gimmick was me discussing statistics compiled from NCBR’s data archive. The blog eventually folded due to a lack of interest by readers and writer alike.

Eighteen months after my last Ark-ive blog posting, management came to me and said, “Fine, blog about something you do have an interest in.” Done and done.

My interest is riding, so cycling is my new blog topic. Judging by the number of other cyclists I see out on the roads, there might be some decent reader-interest this time, too.

There was big news in the cycling world this week, but I’m going to take it slow as I ease back into this blogging thing – even though they say you need to get right back on the horse. Well, how about getting back on a bike… with training wheels?

About me really quick:
I’ve been a roadie for about five years. I ride my bikes like I stole ’em. I put more miles on my cruiser bike in a month than my car in a year. I spent my lunch hours in bars so I could watch the Tour.

Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties.
