“AGL Networks is a pure play dark fiber infrastructure provider and is expected to add $9 million to $10 million of post synergized EBITDA and $160 million of total contract value to Zayo Group,” Ken desGarennes, Zayo’s chief financial officer, said in a statement.

Dark fiber gives users access to the raw, unused fiber optic strands in a company’s network.

Zayo is not yet releasing what will happen with AGL’s Atlanta office or employees, but company spokeswoman Kristin Steele said the AGL name will go away.
