Apartment vacancies fall statewide; rise in Fort Collins
DENVER – The apartment vacancy rate across the state of Colorado
decreased to 6.6 percent during the first quarter, falling from 2009’s
first-quarter rate of 8.5 percent.
Fort Collins reported higher year-over-year vacancies while all other
Front Range metro areas reported decreases, according to a report
released Thursday by the Department of Local Affairs’ Division of
Housing.
Fort Collins’ first-quarter apartment vacancy rate in 2010 was 5.1
percent, up from 4 percent during the same period last year. Loveland
