Zeon fills order for off-centered craft brewery
Alan Bloom, president of Zeon Corp. in Louisville, takes pride in filling off-centered orders. Take for example the latest request from Dogfish Head, a craft brewer, for a back bar sign that would embody the company’s unofficial tagline, “Off-centered stuff for off-centered people.”
Working with the client’s request to develop a back bar clock, the Zeon design team developed a concept featuring aesthetic elements from the Steampunk art movement. The sign incorporates hallmark Steampunk elements – vintage metals, steam power-themed mechanicals and gauges – combined with the design and craftsmanship typical of Victorian era England.
To bring attention and focus to the hopped beers for which Dogfish Head is known, a functional clock motif with a lighted dial denoting different hopping times was chosen.
