Innovation After Hours spotlights feed-in tariff

FORT COLLINS – Feed-in tariffs, a model used to successfully spur
growth of renewable energy systems in Germany and other European
countries, is the focus of this month’s Innovation After Hours event at
The Hilton Fort Collins on Jan. 27.

Featured speakers include G.J. Pierman, president of Wirsol Solar
Colorado; John Crider, strategic planner for the Gainesville (Fla.)
Regional Utility; and Pegeen Hanrahan, Gainesville mayor. Gainesville
implemented a FIT program based on the German model and in less than a
year doubled the amount of solar capacity installed in the city.
