Lighting manufacturer sets up shop

BOULDER – A Chicago lighting manufacturer has moved to Boulder to start his own business.

Tavo Gutierrez has opened Fab Lighting Inc. in Boulder, which designs and manufactures contemporary commercial and residential lighting fixtures made with Italian glass.

The company signed a lease for 4,500 square feet of industrial space at 7161 Valtec Lane, Unit D.  Anya Allen, Todd Walsh, Scot Smith and Wade Arnold with The Colorado Group helped broker the real estate deal.

Gutierrez said he loves the Boulder area – and because many of his clients are in California, he likes the central national location in Colorado.

The new business will hire as it expands, Gutierrez said.  He expects to employ about 10 people by the end of the year.
