Medical marijuana informational meeting set

FORT COLLINS – Medicinal Gardens of Colorado will present an open community meeting and discussion on medical marijuana on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the Carriage House Complex, 420 S. Howes St. in Fort Collins.

Attorneys and medical marijuana specialists, patients and caregivers will be on hand to answer questions about the legal status of medical marijuana. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be coordinated by Timothy Gordon, former president of Front Range NORML, and Travis Cutbirth, founder of the Northern Colorado Medical Marijuana Support Group. Topics to be addressed include conditions which qualify for medical marijuana recommendations, finding doctors who are familiar with medical marijuana, how to register with the Colorado State’s Medical Marijuana Registry and a discussion of the safety and risks involved with medical marijuana use.
