Wachovia locations to become Wells Fargo banks
SAN FRANCISCO – Wells Fargo and Co. (NYSE: WFC) has announced that Wachovia bank locations in Fort Collins and Greeley will change their names to Wells Fargo in November.
Wachovia financial centers at 320 E. Harmony Road in Fort Collins and at 4635 Centerplace Drive in Greeley are two of 19 Wachovia locations in Colorado that will change their names as a result of the merger of the two banks, pending final regulatory approval.
“We are thrilled to fully welcome Wachovia’s customers and team members to Wells Fargo,´ said Nathan Christian, Wells Fargo’s regional president for Colorado. “Until the November integration, it’s business as usual for our customers and they should continue banking where they do today.”
Wachovia Corp. merged into Wells Fargo on Dec. 31. Colorado is one of six states where both Wells Fargo and Wachovia have retail banking stores and is the first of the six to be integrated. Other states that will integrate the two companies are California, Arizona, Illinois, Nevada and Texas.
In noontime trading, shares of Wells Fargo were off 60 cents at $23.54.
