Kennedy and Coe starts building

LOVELAND – Construction begins Friday afternoon on the new home for one of Northern Colorado’s largest accounting firms, Kennedy and Coe LLC.

A groundbreaking scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Sky Pond Business Park in east Loveland will draw many of the company’s 50 employees, public officials and the development, design and construction team that will build the 30,000-square-foot, two-story office building.

The site is at the intersection of Centerra Parkway and Sky Pond Drive, just east of the Promenade Shops retail center. Kennedy and Coe will occupy the second story of the building, relocating most of its employees from west Greeley. The 15,000-square-foot first floor is available for lease.

Exploring & expressing grief

Support groups and events, as well as creative therapies and professional counseling, are all ways in which Pathways supports individuals dealing with grief and loss.

The project architect is Vaught Frye Ripley Design Inc. and Dohn Construction Inc. is the builder. The building will qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification when it is completed in October 2009, company officials said.

Principals at the firm announced the move in June, saying that the new location would enable them to better serve both clients and employees throughout the region.
