Travel company provides trips with purpose

BOULDER – Inside/out, a travel company based in Boulder, has developed trips that combine humanitarian projects with guided adventure travel.

The company’s first humanitourism trip will be to Greece in October to assist animal welfare advocates who are struggling with abandonment, neglect, starvation, poisoning, overpopulation and abuse of dogs.

The tour will provide hands-on assistance in improving shelter facilities in Patras, located on the gulf of the Peloponnese. The tour will also include education, care and feeding programs in Loannina, located in the mountains of the central mainland. Following the humanitarian work, travelers will embark on an eco-adventure tour of the mountains.

For those who would like to donate funds or services to help specific projects in Greece, inside/out lists ways to help on its Web site www.theinsideandout.com.
