Moving firm relocates to Broomfield
BROOMFIELD – American Moving & Storage is vacating a 12,000-square-foot space in Louisville and relocating to a roomier 15,000 square feet at 2760 Industrial Lane in Broomfield on July 21.
President Gabriel Kierson cited the greater exposure for company signage from U.S. 36 as a desirable feature of the move, as well as more space for additional employees. The company currently employs 17 people.
Company revenues jumped from $800,000 in 2006 to $1.1 million in 2007. According to Kierson, one reason for the company’s popularity is due to flat rates charged for local moves instead of charges by the hour.
The company conducted 700 moves last year, 70 percent for homeowners and 30 percent for industrial or business clients. Company records show 90 percent of all moves were conducted within Colorado, with 70 percent within Boulder and Broomfield counties. The company owns six trucks.
