Ace Hardware to offer mercury recycling
DENVER – The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is partnering with a group of energy companies and Ace Hardware to allow consumers to safely recycle their used compact fluorescent light bulbs and mercury-containing thermostats.
The recycling program is a collaborative effort with Xcel Energy, EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. and the Platte River Power Authority.
In the Boulder Valley, consumers can drop off the products at Ace Hardware in Boulder at 2486 Baseline Road, in Lafayette at 900 U.S. 287, in Longmont at 1727 Main St. and in Nederland at 74 Colorado 119. Bins are in place behind the counters…
