Pharmaca acquires pharmacy in Seattle

BOULDER – Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy based in Boulder has acquired a pharmacy in Seattle bringing its total of stores to 21.

Pharmaca purchased Morton’s Pharmacy in west Seattle from owner Bill McNary for an undisclosed amount and will take over retail and pharmacy operations by the end of May. The pharmacy staff and policies of Morton’s will remain in place. It becomes Pharmaca’s third store in Seattle.

After 25 years with Morton’s, McNary decided to sell the pharmacy because of Pharmaca’s philosophy on wellness and reputation for customer service. “I felt an obligation to sell to someone who would continue dedicated service to my loyal customers,” McNary explained in a statement. “Morton’s will only get better from this deal with a larger range of wellness products, ranging from cosmetics and shampoos to herbs and vitamins. They are a good fit for this area of Seattle.”
