Level 3 signs contract with NHL

BROOMFIELD – Level 3 Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT), the Broomfield-based telecommunications and information services company, has signed a multiyear contract with the National Hockey League to support that organization’s video, high-speed Internet protocol and content delivery services.

Level 3 is providing its Level 3 Vyvx services to enable the acquisition and backhaul of all broadcasted NHL games.  In addition, Level 3 has built on-net access to the National Hockey League’s headquarters in New York City to increase the league’s ability to receive and send high-quality video content.
