Tree recycling info on Web

COLORADO – Colorado Recycles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing recycling in Colorado, announced that its database for Christmas tree recycling programs has more than 50 programs listed. Programs not listed are expected to do so immediately following the holidays.

“The information that we currently have shows that 74 percent of the Colorado population currently has immediate access to a convenient Christmas tree recycling program,´ said Richard Brown, executive director of Colorado Recycles, in a statement.

Of the 615,000 live Christmas trees placed in Colorado homes this year, an estimated range between 523,000 to 554,000 will be recycled, according to Colorado…
