NoCo working, but interested in new jobs
Northern Colorado’s work force contains a significant number of underemployed, according to a new study.
The study, commissioned by a partnership of stakeholder agencies, surveyed the work force within a 30-mile radius of U.S. Highway 34 and Interstate 25. It found that of the 383,900 in the area’s civilian labor force, 15,800 were unemployed and actively seeking work and 24,800 are employed but interested in changing their jobs.
The report found that about 25 percent of the available workers would consider a new job paying $13.99 per hour or less, while the top 25 percent would command more than $26.51 per hour.
