To connect, find your brand voice and sing out

Nothing is more appealing than the sound of a human voice. An honest voice that speaks your language. A compassionate voice that shares your point of view. A knowledgeable voice that provides illumination. An earnest voice that offers opportunity. An appealing voice that stirs your desire to belong.

This seems obvious, doesn’t it? But in business communications – both internal and external – we often bury fundamental ideas under a clutter of jargon, theory, templates and preconceptions and forget all about them when it’s time to start communicating.

These days, we all talk about “messaging,” but virtually no one talks about “voice.”…
