DNC online vendor directory will have green element

DENVER – Companies that want to do business with organizers of the Democratic National Convention can show them their green side in an online vendor directory.

Companies can identify themselves in the vendor directory at www.conention2008.com as a women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned or “green” company. The Web site, maintained by the Denver mayor’s office, can be updated continuously.

The Denver Host Committee is developing a system for vendors that qualify as “green” companies later this year. In the meantime, companies can self-identify as a green company during the application process so they can be reached when the “green” element of the directory is…
