Spa treatments become common in Boulder Valley

Heading to a spa for a unique treatment, facial or massage is becoming routine for a number of Boulder Valley residents.

There are a variety of massages and skin treatments available to soothe the mind, body and soul. In addition to the more traditional massages – Swedish and deep-body tissue – there are spas offering prenatal and postpartum massages and have employees trained in that specific area.

While Colorado doesn’t require massage therapists to have a license, the employees receive special training to obtain certification. Massages last from 30 minutes to more than an hour and a one-half. Some spas offer package…
