Make reservation for May 3 Business Hall of Fame lunch

LONGMONT – It’s time to make your reservation for the 15th annual Boulder County Business Hall of Fame induction luncheon, to be held Thursday, May 3, at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Longmont.

Luncheon guests can visit the new home of the Hall of Fame in renovated space leading into the Radisson’s main conference room. The Radisson became the presenting sponsor for the 2007 Hall of Fame through the Susan M. Pratt Foundation and recently held a cocktail reception for past inductees, board members, sponsors and guests to view the Hall of Fame space.

Six inductees will be honored at the luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m. Individual reservations are $50; corporate tables of 10 are $500. Call Wendy Kling at 303-682-4467, or send in the reservation form on page 18A of this issue.

The Hall of Fame has also launched a new Web site at www.halloffamebiz.com. Luncheon reservation forms are available online.

Twenty percent of luncheon ticket proceeds will fund student scholarships at the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business.

The Hall of Fame recognizes businessmen and women who have and continue to exemplify business, cultural and philanthropic achievements that serve as the foundation of our communities.

This year’s inductees are:

_ Thomas Eldrige, owner of Tom’s Tavern in Boulder and an active city and downtown Boulder supporter;

_ G. Lane “Earnie” Earnest, co-founder of Caplan and Earnest LLC, Attorneys at Law, Boulder County’s oldest and largest locally owned and managed law firm;

_ Daniel A. Pirrallo and the Harvest House Hotel, which was a founding sponsor of the Hall of Fame;

_ John Edward “Ed” Mock, founder of Mock Realty in Boulder;

_ Richard W. Klein, owner of the former Fox Theatre in downtown Longmont;

_ Bayne Gibson, who led several companies including Bradford Robinson, Vactec Systems and Staodyn.

The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame was established in 1992 to recognize and honor businesswomen and men who personify “business at its best.” Since 1992, 75-plus individuals have received this prestigious award.
