More retailers join Twenty Ninth Street
BOULDER – Several new national retailers, including Staples, Borders, Famous Footwear and Champs, are joining the shopping lineup at Boulder’s new Twenty Ninth Street project.
The city of Boulder approved numerous tenant-finish permit applications in June for new tenants, some not yet announced publicly.
Others, like Z Gallery and MAC Cosmetics, have been announced by Twenty Ninth Street developer, Westcor, which typically releases new tenant names once a final lease is signed.

Twenty Ninth Street’s nine-person staff moved on-site to 3,000 square feet of office space in late June.
Twenty Ninth Street’s grand opening is planned for the weekend of Oct 12-15 to coincide with the University of Colorado’s Family Weekend.
Thursday, Oct. 12 will feature a $50-per-person preview bash with proceeds benefiting nonprofit public education support organization Impact on Education.
Stores in the central neighborhood will open their doors for the event.
The shopping center will have a weekend of free public events and attractions, beginning with a grand opening ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at the south entrance of Macy’s.
Macy’s is the new name of Foley’s; the rebranding should take place in September, Adams said.
